"Don't Ask Me If I Can, What A Stupid Question"

 

 

I don't know about you, but sometimes, especially in the beginning years of my business, while out in the craft show realm, I'd encounter many vendors who thought they were better than me. A condescending question or two wasn't uncommon. I kind of wish I was brave enough back then to say "What a stupid question." I know some of you may be horrified, but I've learned, as a very shy introvert, that people like that enjoy going after someone whom they assume will just take it. Any time I have stood up for myself, in spite of the pushback, they'd become respectful afterward. Otherwise, if I just took it, they'd keep right on doing it.
