I'm sure my name, Lauren Mackey, caused some of you to do a double take, and if you're thinking: "You're not from around here," you are absolutely right!  I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA.  The place where "Breaking Bad," was filmed.  If I don't mention "Breaking Bad," people tend to assume I live in Mexico, and start speaking to me in Spanish!  

Twice a year, I usually visit my daughter, who lives in Honolulu, Hawaii; in case you were wondering what the deal was with my obsession with the Hawaiian print.  Not only am I a huge 한복 fanatic, I am a huge Hawaii fanatic.  And when I was in Hawaii, yes I did wear my 한복 designs, and I got stopped by many Korean and Korean American people everywhere I went.  Which was why I finally decided to start making them in a variety of sizes, and selling them.

You're probably wondering why I wear these.  Well, after I had my second child, I gained a lot of weight, that thanks to the medication I was taking, just wouldn't come off.  Because I rode horses, I would wear my Cowgirl clothes, but it didn't feel 100% right, as Cowgirl clothing can be extremely unforgiving.  Especially if you're a plus sized woman.  About 5 years later, my daughter got me into K-Pop, and from there, I became aware of the fusion 시극, 화랑. Even though the show was not historically accurate, I fell in love with the clothes.  And then after 화랑, I watched "Rookie Historian," which definitely made my decision for me.  I decided to switch to wearing 한복.  However, because I am plus sized, it was extremely difficult finding something that would fit a woman with a Double D chest size.  So, I decided to make my own, with the focus being on durability and versatility, instead of being limited to semi formal and formal.  I encourage you to come to my website, take a look, and if you have any questions, ask!  We may not speak the same language, but I do know people in my area who can help if Google Translate falls short.
