American Perspectives: In spite of his integrity and compassion, Ning Que is still a kid. "Ever Night" Ep. 15
Ning Que is a young man of admirable, understated integrity. He is, after all, in his late teens taking care of a young teenage woman (Sang Sang). He is also going to school, learning to do something he isn't supposed to have access to (because blocked acupressure points), and exacting revenge on the people who exterminated his friends and family. It's a lot to ask of someone whose a full grown adult, much less someone who has barely become one.
In spite of all of this, he remains a kid. And he does things that kids would do. Such as using his newfound cultivation powers that he's not supposed to have to his advantage while gambling.
He can be a bit of a smart ass, which isn't a bad thing. He gets into scrapes, he has fun with his friends. Like a hormonal teenager, he frequents the Red Sleeve Invite house. He's really trying to figure it all out. The fact that he's still very much a kid is what makes the nuances of his character very interesting.
