Princess Bao Na has learned that her brother, the Qitan King has sided with the 2nd Prince of Yang Kingdom/Chu You Kui. She immediately reports this information personally to Ma Zhaixing and Ji Chong, as Chu You Kui is the one who tried to destroy Prince Bo. Ji Chong and Ma Zhaixing agree to do whatever it takes to stop the alliance and the conspiring. The conspiracy? Lure Prince Bo out of Jin Kingdom and kill him. They plan to lure him out by going after Night Fury, which was an assassin group turned friends that Prince Bo once lead. There is definitely the pull of familial level loyalty that Prince Bo won't be able to resist.
Ma Zhaixing is not okay with Prince Bo knowingly taking the bait. He assures her that Yao Ji is helping him, and due to her being a potential love interest now that Ma Zhaixing is married to Ji Chong, this does not sit well. Ji Chong offers to have the Jin military stand by as back up while Prince Bo plans to rescue the Night Fury on his own. Prince Bo appears to be a bit overwhelmed by the offers of help, but he accepts it. He's not accustomed to so many people wanting to help him after spending much of his life as someone else's sword.
Princess Bao Na brings Ji Chong and Ma Zhaixing to the Qitan encampment, disrupting the King's meeting with Chu You Kui. The Qitan King is upset with Princess Bao Na for interfering, and says that the Jin Kingdom is no better than the Yang Kingdom. Ma Zhaixing points out that cultural differences are bound to bring forth misunderstandings, and that there are some people (Chu You Kui) who are exploiting those for personal gain. She insists that the Qitan King help in resolving the cross cultural misunderstandings between the Jin and Yang Kingdoms, as he is highly proficient in both.
Chu You Kui, being the quintessential misogynist attempts to topple Ma Zhaixing's suggestion by implying that she is a "slut" due to her previous relationship with Prince Bo, and her current marriage to Ji Chong. (Which is completely irrelevant to the topic). Although, his intention is to also play on Ji Chong's insecurities. Little does he know, Ji Chong isn't that kind of man. At this point, it would be awesome if Princess Bao Na would slip laxative is Chu You Kui's tea. The Qitan King favors Ma Zhaixing's suggestion, adn Princess Bao Na enthusiastically backs it up. She also suggests to stop conferring with Chu You Kui, and to confer with Ji Chong and Ma Zhaixing instead. This overwhelms the Qitan King, and he tells them all to leave so he can have time to think.
The following morning, Princess Bao Na meets up with Ma Zhaixing and Ji Chong to congratulate them on a job well done. While the Qitan King is no longer persuaded by Chu You Kui, Ma Zhaixing and Ji Chong have to remain extra cautious because he now has a pretty good idea of where Prince Bo may be. So, Ma Zhaixing knows it's time to prepare and formulate a plan in dealing with Chu You Kui. The plan is to have Ji Chong, Ma Zhaixing, and Princess Bao Na wait in hiding to aid Prince bo when the situation calls for it.
These 3 are awesome because they are going to be there for Prince Bo, no matter what. It's a very enviable kind of loyalty.
