Ji Chong and Ma Zhaixing are waiting for Prince Bo to use the firestriker, but there's a high probability he might not. If he doesn't signal within 3 days, they plan on returning to the Jin Kingdom without him. Due to the rumors being spread that Prince Bo is magically sending out wolves to kill people, he is getting beat up by the other slaves. He pleads guilty to restore the peace, but a young boy by the name of Liu Er intervenes to reveal that he heard the warden, Gu Teng, and the 2nd Prince plot to kill his Uncle Qiang, and frame Prince Bo. Liu Er is arrested for telling the truth, and the attitudes of the other slaves toward Prince Bo begin to shift further. They begin to think more favorably of Prince Bo. Many begin to realize that they don't want to kill Prince Bo, but it's still a polarizing issue. One of the slaves begins to realize what 2nd Prince and Gu Teng were plotting all along: using the slaves to kill Prince Bo, and then using that as justification to execute the guilty slaves. It's a total no-win situation. Prince Bo gets up from his spot outside the group to join in on the conversation to present his plan to save Liu Er. He reveals his plot to explosive steals from Gu Teng's office to blow up Qiannu Battalion. This is where he plans on using the help of Ji Chong and Ma Zhaixing. He reveals that for all of them to be saved, they must agree to join the Jin Kingdom. There is resistance, but Prince Bo promises that if anything goes wrong, they can kill him on the spot. It becomes apparent that Prince Bo wanted to go to Qiannu Battalion to repent by helping the slaves he had been wronged while he was being exploited by the King of Yang. Most of the slaves trust his sincerity, one does not. And the one who does not, reports to Gu Teng of Prince Bo's plot. However, what we don't initially know until later, is that he isn't actually tattling. He's using this as an opportunity to distract Gu Teng and steal the explosives. The firestriker is finally put to use. Ji Chong's messenger eagle enters the prison, and Prince Bo sends the message.Gu Teng finds his explosives missing from his office. The slaves have the explosives tied to their legs. The take the explosives, and throw them at the guards. Ji Chong busts through and tells Prince Bo to go north and meet up with the Jin military. Liu Er is busted out of prison, and Prince Bo fights Gu Teng. He kicks Gu Teng's ass, but does not kill him (he is tired of having blood on his hands for the sake of having blood on his hands). He successfully escapes, along with the rest of the slaves. The guards are in hot pursuit, and Liu Er's father is shot. He knows he isn't going to make it, so Prince Bo agrees to fill the role of father to Liu Er.Ma Zhaixing is able to block the guards by shooting an arrow at the explosives on the roadside, and causing an avalanche of rocks. She and Prince Bo meet again. Ma Zhaixing looking beautiful, Prince Bo looking rugged, but it matters not. She sends him and the slaves to Jin Kingdom for protection. Whatever feelings she has for him are not at the top of the priority list. What matters now is that the now former slaves are safe, and Prince Bo is settled in.
