American Perspectives: Response to Ep. 21-22 of Till The End of the Moon

First, I hate dual female love triangles.  Ick!  It's a narrative constantly pushed in my culture in real life.  Whether it's two women liking the same man, or a 2 women to 1 man threesome, oh hell no!  But, when it's a dual male love triangle, hell yes!  And that's where the C-Dramas and the K-Dramas know how to do it right.  Anyway, though, as you can see from my last blog entry, I am not keen on Ye Bingchang trying to worm her way into Tantai Jin's heart.  Luckily, he saw through that, called her on her bullshit (which is precisely what a man is SUPPOSED to do), and let her know that it ain't happening.  (Again, that is exactly what a boyfriend or husband is SUPPOSED to do).  Thank you, thank you, thank you!  I was exceedingly tense through Episodes 21-22, wanting Ye Bingchang to GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY!

I am pretty sure Ye Bingchang is going to cause problems in the future.  When she was the Goddess Tian Huan in the dream realm, that was exactly what she was all about.  Even in the dream realm, when Tantai Jin assumed the personality of Mingye, he still made it known that he had no intention of doing a damn thing with her.  It is shown in Episodes 21-22 that parts of the persona of the Goddess Tian Huan has stuck with her.  Or, will we find out that the virtuous Ye Bingchang was like this all along.  (Women that unrealistically virtuous usually are, and I am not even remotely sorry for saying so).

With Tantai Jin, he comes head to head with the Sheng King who chooses to destroy him. How? The Sheng King takes Tantai Jin's mothers bones, grinds them up, and humiliates him with it.  All because the Sheng King looks at Tantai Jin as a monster who absolutely cannot have any authority, and must be destroyed at once. It's this battle between the Sheng King and Tantai Jin that leaves Ye Xiwu in the dark, not knowing the complete circumstances of the situation, and causing a terrible misunderstanding.  It temporarily drives a wedge between Ye Xiwu and Tantai Jin, and I am grateful they did not drag this out until Episode 40.  I would seriously be super pissed if they did.
